Asking prices read from agencies' public listing pages, each property matched across agencies and counted once; the typical price of the lowest current asking price per property, converted to USD at the reference rate of the day; shown only with 8 or more. Agency pages are read every day, and every listing is checked in full twice a week. Every figure carries the number of properties it was taken from (n) and the date it was computed. History runs from September 2026.
How to cite a figure
Quote the figure with its n and date, in this form:
Source: Bali Property Index (baliindex.com), n = 5481, 27 Oct 2026
For example: typical asking price for a built villa in Bali, USD 303k, the middle of 5,481 built villas. Source: Bali Property Index (baliindex.com), n = 5481, 27 Oct 2026.
The data
A CSV of every published area figure, exact, is written after each full run: area-medians-latest.csv (this week's file: area-medians-2026-10-27.csv). Columns: area, type (built villa, 1 to 5 bedroom villa, land per are), tenure (all, leasehold, freehold), n, median_usd, p25, p75, date. A row appears only with n of 8 or more. Earlier weeks' files stay at their dated addresses.
Figures are asking prices, not sale prices, in USD at the reference rate of the day. Please keep the attribution, the n and the date when you quote them. Questions: index@baliindex.com.
